My mission....
My mission is also my dream....
I am on a real mission. My dream is to keep photography alive as a passionate profession. That it doesn't get swallowed up by the "snapshot" iPhones and cameras that are all on -Programm setting-. I dream that people will start to see the difference between iPhone snapshots and photos taken by an automatic camera and the image created by the photographer. They look the same, but they are not. One is no more valuable than the other, and they both make beautiful things. Only the path to them is different.
Not because of the length of the lens....
Recognition and recognition of a photographer is not determined by the purchase price of the camera and certainly not by the length of the lens.
Every photographer has a camera, but not everyone with a camera is a photographer.
Always dancing with the light...
A true photographer not only sees light, he smells light, he feels light. Light challenges him. He wants to model light like a block of clay. He wants to shape it and bend it to his will. ISO values, shutter speeds and apertures fly through his mind. Super-fast, he put all three of them in exactly the right place. He does not fight, but dances with the light. The photographer is always dancing with the light. Whether in full sunlight or by candlelight.
Photographers,...arm in arm.
I am on a true mission. I dream of all true photographers dancing arm in arm with the light. They dance and dance and while dancing they invite anyone who wants to learn more about photography to dance with them. Along with my Nikons, I am on that true mission.

Biography
It all started in 1969 with my dad's Agfa Isolette
As a boy of 11, I was allowed to borrow the Agfa Isolet from my father. A 60 mm roll film camera. Full manual. After all, in 1969, “Automatic” did not exist. Estimate the focusing distance and set it manually. The separate Gossen light meter gave you an indication of aperture and shutter speed. That was all. During my “treks” with my school mate, I took the camera with me and photographed what we experienced. The reporter was born.
Not every picture was great. Still, sometimes there was one among them that I thought was special. By the way, not all negatives were printed. That would become too costly.
The Power of Photography and Social Anthropology
My Work
As a photographer, my focus has shifted over the past decade to social anthropology. My work takes me around the world, capturing cultures and traditional customs that may not exist in 10 or 15 years. These images act as photographic history books, a visual testament to life as it is today.
By dipping myself into various cultures taught me valuable lessons about what's really important. It exposes me to challenges and realities that are often overlooked. These experiences are not only empowering; they also provide perspective in my own life.
I consider myself to be a blessed person. My camera is not just a tool, but a bridge to other worlds. Each image tells a story that needs to be heard, and I am grateful to be able to capture and share these stories.
